Pigs
The Pig Pen
Welcome to the royal court of Camp Winnie: Baba Ganoush, Strawberry, Crabbe, and Goyle. Whether they’re sunbathing, mud-wallowing, or arguing over snack rights, this crew knows how to live large. Baba runs the show with his signature swagger, Strawberry keeps him in check, and Crabbe and Goyle bring the muscle (and mischief). Life in the pig pen is never boring—and always a little muddy.

Baba Ganoush
Baba Ganoush is a big, lovable presence with a soft side—and a serious appetite. He came to Camp Winnie from another pig farm, where his career in breeding was cut short. But what he lacked in equipment, he more than made up for in charm. His old owners couldn’t bring themselves to part with him the usual way, saying he was “too sweet to eat.” And they were right—he’s all heart, all ham, and 100% part of the family now. Baba is curious to his core. He’s got to know what’s going on everywhere at all times—whether it’s a commotion at the fence line, a new bucket being carried across the pasture, or the crinkle of a snack bag within earshot. If there are treats, he’s there. If there’s mud, he’s rolling in it. And if the summer sun’s blazing? You’ll catch him doing his own version of a cold plunge in the water troughs like a spa day regular. He’s also a world-class cuddler, especially with his girlfriend, Strawberry. He’ll sit politely for a treat, and if you find the right belly rub spot? Down he goes, legs up, soaking in the love like the royalty he is. Baba Ganoush isn’t just a pig. He’s a vibe. He’s a king. He’s The Big Guy.

Strawberry
Strawberry joined us at Camp Winnie after her former family could no longer care for her, and she's been turning heads (and stealing snacks) ever since. Don’t let her bristly exterior fool you—once she knows you’re there for the good stuff (treats and scratches, obviously), she starts to soften up. She’s Baba Ganoush’s self-appointed supervisor, old lady, and partner-in-dine. When he gets a little too rowdy, she’s not afraid to dish out a playful nip to keep him in line. Her mealtime strategy is simple: gobble her food with lightning speed, then swoop in to “help” Baba with the leftovers around his bowl. Strawberry’s currently working on her figure—her potbelly is adorable, but she’s got big dreams of unveiling her revenge body. She's not quite ready for the cover of Pig Fancy, but she’s struttin’ her way there one veggie at a time. She’s still settling into sanctuary life, but we know this sassy queen will blossom into her full glory—with a little time, a lot of snacks, and just the right amount of love.

Crabbe
Crabbe, along with his buddy Goyle, came to us after being abandoned by their previous owners when the farm changed hands. The new owners arrived to find the pigs left behind, and both Crabbe and Goyle found a safe haven at Camp Winnie. Crabbe, aka “Crabby Patty,” is a massive, lovable giant, though he can be a bit prickly at first (his hair’s more like porcupine quills than soft fluff!). With only one ear—likely from a past run-in with a dog or coyote—Crabbe doesn’t hear very well, which makes it easy to sneak up on him in the mornings and give him a gentle rub to wake him up for the day. He’s all about lounging in his piggie hut or splashing around in his self-made mud pit during hot summer days. Though he may seem a bit standoffish at first, a few snacks and some patience reveal his sweet nature. Crabbe may be big, and his quills might make him seem tough, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll see he’s as gentle as they come—just be sure to bring food as your offering of peace!

Goyle
He arrived at the sanctuary from the same farm as his companion Crabbe, after being abandoned by their previous owners. Though his past was far from kind, Goyle has found his place here, where he can express his feisty nature and indulge in his love for rooting around in the dirt. True to his grumpy nature, Goyle isn’t shy about asserting his opinion—especially when it comes to the other pigs. He’s often seen starting playful (yet very spirited) squabbles with Baba Ganoush, the head honcho of the group. But no matter how hard he tries, Baba always puts him in his place, often resulting in hilarious moments where the two engage in what can only be described as a piggy tango through the fence line. It's one of the highlights of the day at the sanctuary! Despite his tough exterior, Goyle has a softer side that emerges when breakfast rolls around. He’s all snuggles and sweet oinks when food is served, a true testament to the joy that a full belly brings. While Goyle might not be the cuddliest pig in the herd just yet, we’re hopeful that with time, patience, and plenty of love, he’ll soften up and maybe—just maybe—turn into the snuggle bug we know he is.

LaNorris
Listen… have you guys seen this pig LaNorris? Small body. Huge energy. This dude comes flying out of the pasture like he just got shot out of a cannon. He’s juking, he’s spinning, he’s twirling in circles — I’m telling you, this pig’s got more moves than half the SEC. And he’s named after LaNorris Sellers from the Gamecocks — you talk about destiny? Come on! He’s already the Heisman frontrunner of Camp Winnie. You give him the ball — boom — he’s gone. Touchdown every time. Fans go wild. But here’s the best part — after all the fireworks, after all the highlight-reel plays — this little superstar just flops down for belly rubs. Are you kidding me? Superstar on the field, sweetheart off it. That’s a first-round draft pick in my book.

Pound Cake
Pound Cake may be LaNorris’ girlfriend, but she’s a star in her own right. Sweet, happy, and completely loveable, she’s the kind of pig who trots right up to you for a scratch or belly rub without hesitation. She doesn’t just want attention—she thrives on it. Her favorite pastime is tagging along with her pig pals Baba Ganoush and Strawberry. Baba doesn’t mind the company—in fact, he seems to enjoy having Pound Cake as his loyal sidekick. Strawberry, on the other hand, isn’t always sure about the extra attention, but Pound Cake’s cheerful persistence usually wins the day. When she’s not following the crew, you can almost always find her right next to Baba in the mud pit, like his muddy little shadow. Whether she’s soaking in the sunshine, rolling in the mud, or soaking up all the love she can find, Pound Cake is pure joy from snout to tail.
